Covered by US Patent. Pulling on the connector only is sometimes difficult due to cramped locations and sometimes the cable is yanked a bit in the process. If you don't feel comfortable opening computer case and figuring out what is causing the heat, I would recommend taking it to technician to address the heat issue first. Still up for suggestions in case the cable-thing isn't the problem, though.
